Summer is right around the corner!! Not only do I get to spend more time with my family as the kids are getting done with school, but as the days become warmer and brighter, I spend more time outside enjoying the weather and Earth. This playlist that I chose for all of you really embraces the feeling of summer in my mind!! This song was such a blast to film! People dancing freely as they listen to this song was exactly the kind of feeling Mario Jose and I wanted to capture. This song always makes me want to get up and dance, and it has that infectious happiness to the melody. Blast “Can’t Stop the Feeling” at your next picnic or cookout and I can guarantee you everyone will get up and groove.
2. Happy - Evynne Hollens
Why you’ll love this:
My wife CRUSHES it with this song! Her vocals with Nathan Alef’s crazy keyboard skills make for a very fun cover. The light cowbell really adds to the fun nature of this song; the song is literally about feeling happy! “Happy” has always reminded me of summer with its catchy beat and zany lyrics.
3. The Good Stuff - The Hound + The Fox feat. Tim Foust and Jenika Marion
Why you’ll love this:
This song with these people makes for the sweetest thing ever. The Hound + The Fox with Tim Foust and Jenika Marion is an absolute dream collaboration that they did an amazing job on! Tim’s low bass voice weaves effortlessly with Jenika’s sweet soprano just as The Hound + The Fox sweetly serenade their audience. Both couples have been together for a while, and when they all sang together on this song, it instantly reminded me of all the sweet memories I’ve been able to share with my wife, Evynne.
4. I Lived - BYU Vocal Point

These boys nailed the feeling of summer with their rendition of “I Lived!” The video flashes back to when they were kids living their summer adventures together, and when I hear this song, that’s exactly what I’m reminded of: those crazy summer adventures with my friends, playing make-believe with my kids now, making memories for years to come. 6. Better When We're Together - Mat and Savanna Shaw

Mat and Savanna are the cutest daddy-daughter duo you’ll ever hear! Their rendition of “Better When We’re Together” is so sweet and is the perfect song for Father’s Day! For me, this is the song that makes me really love having that summer time with my family. With the kids off school, I really do feel better when I’m getting to hang out with them more, and enjoying that time with your family is exactly the feeling Mat and Savanna capture.
7. Choose You Still - GENTRI

GENTRI outdid themselves with this original song. “Choose You Still,” is such a sweet reminder of being in love and choosing your person every day. After a long summer day, listening to this song reminds me of how grateful I am for Evynne and how glad I am that she chooses me still! With their melodic harmonies and incredible emotion they put into this, GENTRI’s song will keep that feeling of love in your heart.
8. Leave This Town - Home Free

There truly is no place like home, especially when you’re surrounded by the best of friends. Home Free celebrates the magic of the familiar with their heartwarming performance of “Leave This Town.” Change can be hard, especially with summer bringing graduations for some, birthdays, new schools in the fall, and Home Free knows that.
