One Voice Children's Choir is one of the newer members of the Legendary Vocals family. Their first LV CD, Hallelujah, is available NOW! The group originated with performances in the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City, but they grew in popularity when they appeared on NBC's America's Got Talent in 2009. The choir is composed of children ages four through eighteen living along the Wasatch Front in Utah. Following their success on America’s Got Talent, they took to YouTube where they share dynamic musical covers that connect with an international audience! Their music is inspiring, fun, and great for the whole family.
To help you get to know the amazing work of OVCC, here is our interview with Founder/Director/Arranger Masa Fukuda.
How many kids are currently in the choir?
Currently there are about 180 choir members.
What is your favorite track on the CD and why is it your favorite?
It’s hard to choose a favorite because so many of them are tied to specific memories, but I have always loved A Million Dreams because of the symphony type choral parts that were written.
What is the most challenging song on the CD for OVCC to perform?
The most challenging song for the choir kids is J’imagine. Anytime we sing in a different language it takes a lot of time to learn. It’s really fun to see how proud they are of themselves when they get down though.
Which song is the choir most excited to sing?
They love current music like What About Us, and Beauty Lies. They are inspired by the things they listen to on a daily basis and they get excited to share that type of music with the world.
What or who influences your music?
Honestly, the kids influence our music the most. We listen to the types of things they want to sing, and the subjects they want to sing about. Our nonprofit organization One Voice Children is all about inspiring the world through the power of children’s voices. We believe their voices go beyond just the singing, so we try to give them voice in all choices in our production along the way.
What’s coming up next from OVCC? Where can fans go to learn more?
We will be coming out with a video this summer open for 2021 kids all over the world to join us! We also hope to be performing live again, and we are working towards some original music.

CDs are my favorite way to listen to music.
I’ve always loved listening to music on CD’s. Don’t get me wrong, all the different ways to listen to music that have become popular over the years are still great options to utilize. But that feeling of holding a brand new CD case in your hands, reading the little booklet full of information about the artists, has always appealed to me more.
